As some of you will know, those of you who’ve been in the chat room when the Magic Carpet’s on, when the chat gets particularly fast and furious, when the music takes us over, I’ve been known to get a little silly.  I’ve been known to agree to things without fully thinking them through.  Things like “let’s have a movie night with Hard Day’s Night and lots of tequila!!!” (whoever came up with THAT idea will be severely punished).  So it is that Thursday night will see the unfolding of an experiment that will be interesting, if nothing else.  Now if past history is anything to go by, either we’ll all have a wonderful, mad, exhilarating experience, or not.  It could become a regular event, or it may put you off old movies and tequila for the rest of your life.  Anyway, by now you all know that the Magic Carpet is a place where you’ll find no contests, no prizes, music you won’t like and ideas that make you uncomfortable.  What else will you find? Certainly there’ll be hot chat and cool tunes and people that bring magic to the Carpet every week, oh and this week there’ll be tequila, an old Beatles movie and all the duct tape you can handle.
